Client Name: Nick Moen
Client Goal: Lean Muscle Gain
Results So Far: Started training in December 2010 at 26%, this past September Nick competed in his first bodybuilding show at under 8% body fat. That’s a body fat loss of close to 20%. His weight during this time changed by 10kg’s overall along with a lean muscle gain of close to 12kg’s.

Client Name: Shamina Chandran
Client Goal: Fat Loss
Results So Far: Started training at the end of May weighing 76.6kg and 30.6%, as of September she is 63.4kg and 22.8% body fat. She has also put on several kg’s of lean mass during this time. This is a great result for a 12-14 week period and realistic considering she only trains between 3-4 times per week with weights only!

Bored of your routine? Try this workout to kick start your fat loss for summer!

Okay feeling a little bored with your current gym routine and need some inspiration? Well here is an example of a workout we give to new Clean Health male and female clients to induce rapid fat loss along with seasoned individuals like Clean Health Co-Director Claudine Newton who is pictured below. This workout is designed for someone with an intermediate level of conditioning, is relatively structurally sound and able to attain good and pain free ROM through the ankle, knee etc.

So you think women can’t get lean lifting heavy weights?

Let me run through a recent discussion I had during an initial consultation with a new Clean Health Female Fat Loss Client (FFLC). I got inspired to write something up like this after reading one of Coach Poliquin’s recent blog posts describing other common scenario’s faced by personal trainer’s and strength coaches the world over. Less cortisol post workout equals a more anabolic environment for your body to be in, therefore your chances of building lean muscle and losing body fat in record time will be increased. As far back as 1984 (1) this has been documented yet it has only been in recent years that it’s use in this context has become more widespread.

So do you train well, eat smart and STILL find it hard to have lean legs? One of the first things I do with clients who suffer from excessive fat storage on their legs – in particular females – is get them to visit ewg.org which is a website that provides consumers information on the quality and toxic load of the products that we use every single day. Makeup, shampoos, perfume etc.
Believe it or not more often that not these products could be the culprit”s here disrupting your endocrine system and causing you to store more xeno-estrogens daily.

Congratulations to Clean Health Athlete Sally Anne Matterson for placing second in the INBA Sports Model Tall category at the recent INBA Sydney championships.
In just 4-weeks she went from 14.6% to 8.6% body fat whilst putting on close to 2kg’s of lean muscle so congratulations on all her hard work and effort.
