3 Things Every Successful PT Does Daily
Your success in any area of your life is a direct reflection of your daily habits, those things that you do on a regular basis – whether you feel like it or not.
In this article we take a moment to share 3 habits that all successful PTs practice on a daily or weekly basis that contribute to their long-term success.
1. Committing to Daily Learning
There is a reason for the existence of popular sayings such as ‘readers are leaders’, ‘learners are earners’ and ‘learn more to earn more’.
All of the most successful PTs and those successful in any endeavour commit to daily learning.
The most successful people around the world, including Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Tony Robbins, and Mark Zuckerberg commit to at least 5 hours of deliberate learning per week.
That means you can set aside 1 hour 5 days a week or 40-45 minutes each day. You can even set a side one day a week devoted to 5 hours of deliberate learning.
It doesn’t really matter how you choose to spread it out as long as you commit to the 5-hour rule each week.
2. Practicing Your Craft
Learning theory is great, but it doesn’t count for much unless you go out and apply it. The best trainers in the business not only have book smarts, but they also make sure to put it into practice.
It’s important to go out and get your hands dirty so you can better relate to your clients and what you are putting them through. This will give you more conviction when trying to influence them.
For example, how are you going to have any conviction in getting your clients to follow a diet or walk 10,000 steps per day when you have never done it yourself.
Practicing your craft on a daily basis also gives you an opportunity to refine your methods and systems and add your own unique element to it rather than going purely off what someone else advises.
3. Providing Your Audience with High Quality High Value Content
These days the fitness industry has become so saturated, especially the online space, so you need to make some noise in order to be seen and heard.
You might not need a fancy website or a funnel, but you need a medium for sharing high quality, high value information with your prospective clients, where they can reach out and contact you. This may include Instagram, Facebook or YouTube.
By providing your prospect with high quality, high value content on a regular basis, you will be at the forefront of their mind and the one they turn to for advice. This ensures you always have a steady influx of new prospective clients to help keep your books full.
