April 8th, 2024, 12:00 PM Australian Eastern Standard Time, Sydney, Australia.

Clean Health, the trusted source of fitness education for personal trainers worldwide, has acquired the Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF), Australia’s largest provider of online government-accredited Certificates III and IV in Fitness, Personal Trainer Qualifications.

The acquisition will strengthen Clean Health’s mission to educate over 1 million fitness professionals by 2030, positively impacting tens of millions of global clients’ health and wellness.

“Since 1979, AIF has been the original market leader in personal trainer education in Australia, educating over 100,000 students in personal training and massage qualifications over the last 45 years,” said Daine McDonald, Founder, Co-CEO and Chairman of Clean Health.

“AIF’s courses in personal training and massage are designed to help people start a new career in health and fitness. When combined with Clean Health’s globally recognised continuing education programs in nutrition, fitness business, and advanced program design, they will allow us to create a new era of world-class personal trainers and nutritionists.

Russell Creagh, Co-Founder of AIF and Chairman, said, “When Nigel Champion, Greg Hurst, and I launched AIF, the industry was in its infancy stages. We were able to pioneer world-class education and help shape the modern fitness industry. With Daine, we feel it is passing the baton to the new generation, and we can’t wait to see what the AIF can do in Clean Health’s very capable hands.”

Clean Health Founder, Co-CEO & Chairman Daine McDonald, with AIF CEO Nouri Groom.

Nouri Groom, the CEO of the AIF, will transition to the pivotal role of CFO for the broader Clean Health Group following the acquisition. Daine, Lauren, and the Clean Health team are the perfect acquirers for AIF; as fitness professionals themselves, they get the industry. I am excited to take the AIF brand and products to a new generation of personal trainers worldwide.”

Clean Health looks forward to providing current and future AIF students and graduates more value and success in their careers.
