Breathwork is all about optimising your mind and body for performance, whether it’s athletic, at work, or anything else. Breathwork is a great complement to strength and athletic training.
By playing with the volume and rate of our breathing, we can cause shifts in our body and mind – you just need to know how.
Yes, breathwork and meditation are different techniques aimed at benefiting our mental and physical wellness – they provide different outcomes and benefits, and can be used to complement one another.
Meditation is commonly practiced in order for us to feel more mental clarity and emotional strength, especially when built up consistently over time. Mental calm and peace are often the goal when we meditate.
Breathwork, on the other hand, is used for more instantaneous results, harnessing the body’s chemical responses to oxygen and breathing to reduce stress, increase performance and improve focus. The tangible benefit of breathwork can be felt for athletic and strength based activities as well as mental activities, work and stress mitigation.
